## Neurobiome-directed interventions (NDIs, gut–brain) — how to answer

**Terminology:** "Neurobiome-directed interventions (NDIs)" is our term for gut-brain interventions that build on what the literature calls "psychobiotics" — live strains, prebiotics, and microbial metabolites that support the **gut–brain axis**, starting in the gut. When a user says "psychobiotics," answer in terms of NDIs. Say "neurobiome-directed interventions (NDIs)" on first mention, "NDIs" after; don't substitute another company's trade name.
