How is GoodOnes™ different from broad-spectrum probiotics and subscription brands?
vs. generic daily probiotics: Most drugstore probiotics are built around a single general-wellness strain with no specific indication targeting. Great first step — and if it's working, you don't need us. GoodOnes is the right second step when a generic hasn't moved the needle after 4–8 weeks, because we match two issue-specific strains to your exact complaint.
vs. broad-spectrum synbiotics: Many premium brands use 20+ strain blends with no specific indication targeting and require a monthly subscription. GoodOnes is the opposite: one job per bottle, named strains, no subscription required, $49 one-time.
vs. practitioner-dispensed brands: Clinical-grade brands require a provider. GoodOnes is the DTC-accessible version of the same evidence tier — backed by Flore Clinical's formulary, no appointment needed. For diagnosis-adjacent cases, Flore Clinical is the right door.
Should I upgrade from my current probiotic? A straight answer.
Stay with your current probiotic if: It's working — you're more regular, less bloated, feeling better after 4–8 weeks. No reason to change what's working.
Upgrade to GoodOnes if: You've taken a daily probiotic consistently for 4–8 weeks and the specific problem (irregular transit, IBS-like bloating, stress gut, skin flares, repeated colds) hasn't improved. That's a targeting problem — the strains in your current formula weren't matched to that complaint. GoodOnes fixes that with two issue-specific strains picked for your one main symptom, at studied doses, on top of a clinically-supported Universal core.
Start with Flore Clinical if: You have an actual diagnosis — IBS-D, IBD, SIBO, post-antibiotic dysbiosis, ASD-related gut symptoms. That's the clinical tier (floreclinical.com), where a provider manages the protocol.
Not sure? Email [email protected] — we'll tell you honestly which tier fits, including if the answer is "stay with what you have."
What strains are actually in The Calm One and The Bright One?
Both formulas share the Universal core: Bifidobacterium breve, Lactobacillus plantarum, and Lactobacillus rhamnosus — 6 billion CFU each, clinically studied for daily gut stability and immune steadiness.
The Bright One (mood / gut-brain axis) adds: Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis (4B CFU) + Lactiplantibacillus plantarum (4B CFU). These two target the tryptophan pathway along the vagal axis — the gut-brain signaling route upstream of serotonin and mood regulation. Referenced in 4 psychobiotic mood trials (n > 600, 2017–2023).
The Calm One (autism support / steady focus) adds: Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis (4B CFU) + Lactobacillus reuteri (4B CFU). These support the gut-vagus signaling line for a more even daily baseline in focus and calm. Referenced across 5 gut-behavior cohort studies (n > 600, 2017–2024). Proprietary strain sub-identifiers are on file at Flore Clinical — available to practitioners, partners, and researchers on request.
We mask the proprietary strain ID (the alphanumeric suffix after species) as Flore Clinical's formulation IP — but genus, species, and CFU are fully disclosed, and published references are on file. Email [email protected] to request the full strain dossier.
I'm already taking a drugstore probiotic. Should I switch?
Not necessarily. If what you're taking is genuinely helping — regular, less bloated, feeling good — there's no reason to change. GoodOnes are built for when a generic probiotic has had 4–8 weeks to work and hasn't. If you're still irregular, still bloated, or still getting a stress knot in your gut before something stressful, that's usually a targeting problem: the strains weren't matched to your specific complaint. That's exactly what GoodOnes fix. Start with the quiz — we'll tell you which One fits what you're describing and why.
How many do I take a day?
One a day is the sweet spot — one capsule with a meal. Two a day is the max; each 30-capsule bottle is a 30-day supply at one a day, 15 days at two. On a 2-pack or 4-pack, take one with breakfast and one with lunch — rotate which Ones you take through the week so each formula gets its turn. (The Little One is the exception: it's a powder, one scoop with a meal.)
When should I take them?
With a meal. Take one GoodOnes™ formula alongside breakfast — food gives the strains an easier ride down. If you're taking two, spread them across the day: one with breakfast, one with lunch. Two a day is the max.
Can I stack more than one GoodOnes™ formula together?
Yes — that's the whole point of the 2-pack and 4-pack. Every adult GoodOnes™ formula shares the same Universal core, so stacking The Regular One (for regularity) with The Bright One (for mood) just swaps the two issue-specific strains on top of that shared core. No interactions, no doubled-up core load. One a day is the sweet spot, two a day is the max — on a 4-pack, rotate which two you take through the week to address different targets over time.
How long until I feel something?
In our dataset: The Regular One shows meaningful shifts in stool frequency and comfort inside 7–14 days for most people (68% response rate; median 11 days to effect). Mood, skin, and immune GoodOnes take longer — usually 4–6 weeks. If you have a sensitive gut, expect a 3–5 day adjustment period with some initial gas or mild changes in stool form; this passes. Give any GoodOnes™ formula at least one full bottle before judging it.
Will The Regular One cause urgency or cramping?
It's not a stimulant — it doesn't trigger urgency or spasm the way senna or magnesium oxide can. The two issue-specific strains work the lower bowel slowly: producing short-chain fatty acids that prompt natural peristalsis and help retain moisture in stool. The result is gentle, predictable regularity — going daily without drama — not a laxative push. If you have a sensitive gut or have had bad reactions to aggressive fiber or motility aids before, The Regular One is a reasonable starting point. Take it with food and give it 10–14 days.
Where did the GoodOnes formulas come from?
Flore — the microbiome research operation behind GoodOnes — sequenced 23,447 guts and mapped customer outcomes against strain profiles. The 9 GoodOnes are the formulas that came up over and over in the patterns that worked — one for each body system. The dataset picks the formula; we ship the bottle.
Why a focused formula instead of twenty strains?
Most probiotic blends are kitchen-sink — twenty strains, no targeting, no signal. The data says blends dilute the work. Every GoodOnes™ formula is a steady Universal core plus two issue-specific strains picked for one body system — and that out-performed sprawling multi-strain blends for nearly every named outcome we tracked.
How can the GoodOnes be cheaper than the big brands?
No retail markup, no influencer commissions, no auto-renewing subscription lock-in. Three SKUs (1, 2, 4 GoodOnes), Flore manufactures the formulas direct, customers order direct. The price reflects the formula, not the brand tax.
What about allergens, pregnancy, or kids?
The adult GoodOnes use a vegan capsule (vegetable cellulose); The Little One is a powder. No dairy, no gluten, no soy, non-GMO across all formulas. The adult GoodOnes are formulated for ages 18+. The Little One is formulated for children — follow the label and talk to your pediatrician before starting it. If you're pregnant or nursing, check with your provider before starting any probiotic; for a diagnosed condition, the practitioner channel at floreclinical.com is the right door.
What if I'm on antibiotics?
Take your antibiotic as prescribed, and take your GoodOnes™ formula at least 2 hours apart from the dose so the antibiotic doesn't kill the strain on its way down. Stay on the GoodOnes™ formula formula for at least 30 days after you finish the course.
Do the GoodOnes need to be refrigerated?
No. Every GoodOnes™ formula formula is shelf-stable through the printed expiry date. Refrigeration doesn't hurt and can extend shelf life a few months if you live somewhere hot.
I want to sell the GoodOnes. Wholesale? Affiliate? Practitioner?
Three paths. Practitioners and clinics order the formulas through Flore Clinical. Retail wholesale and affiliate partnerships: email [email protected] with the channel you're proposing and we'll send terms.
Returns?
GoodOnes are final sale. We don't accept returns on opened or unopened products unless your order arrived damaged, defective, or incorrect. If that happens, email [email protected] with a photo and your order number — we'll make it right immediately. See our full Return Policy.
Why are the strain identities masked as RGO codes?
For every GoodOnes™ formula formula, the Genus and species are printed on the Supplement Facts label — FDA requires it. What we mask is the proprietary strain identifier (the part after the species, e.g. "W11" or "LP01"). That's Flore's formulation IP. Practitioners, partners, and curious researchers can request the full strain designation on any GoodOnes™ formula any time.
