But the math isn't really the reason for the pair. The reason is that most people don't have one concern. They have one in the foreground and another in the background, and they want to address both without buying a 12-strain blend that addresses neither.

The rule
Any single One may appear up to twice in a pack. A 2-pack of the same One is allowed; a 4-pack must contain at least two distinct Ones. The point is: don't stack three or four of the same thing. That's not how strain-level dosing works — past the studied dose-per-strain, you don't get more effect, just more cost.
